Did you read my post yesterday about my home broadband supplier? If not you can read that here, and if you did, thank you for reading and thanks to anyone who left a comment! There was also one other thing I forgot to mention within that post, but I thought I would just do a whole new post now as people may not see the edited version!
When we pay all this money to our home broadband providers, really, we should get a little bit of say in things shouldn't we? I had to pay for a engineer to come out and install my phone lines before I had even been accepted to have the package with my provider, the engineer did eventually turn up on the third appointment after me taking time off work for the previous two and no one turning up!
I live in a flat, just telling you in case your a new reader, and my phone is literally half a foot step away from my front door! I wouldn't say my flat is a big flat, I've seen bigger, a whole lot bigger, but I wouldn't say it's tiny either. Well Spud's bedroom is tiny, you cant fit a double bed in there or anything and then we also have a ridiculously small bathroom that doesn't even have a window in it!
Back to the point of this post before I drift off the subject even more is that I had to pay a engineer to come and install a phone line because apparently there wasn't a phone line here previously to me or something, and where of all the places should this silly engineer install my phone line? The furthest place away from my office area which I use on a daily basis!
My front door leads onto my landing, which is equally small and standing on your feet for over an hour in the same place is quite annoying, it's even more annoying when your on the phone to a company and they've put you on hold so you cant say to them ''can you hold on a moment please'' whilst I run and get some cushions to sit on!
So, after a year of cursing the engineer for putting the phone line in right by my front door, I discovered I had been a fool all along! If I had a cordless phone I could be sitting comfortably on my sofa, stirring the dinner in the kitchen or even star-fishing my bed without having to worry about pulling the phone out of the wall!
So I have one more proposal for you, which cordless phone would you recommend getting? Does anyone actually leave answering machine messages any more or is that a thing of the past? Would I need caller display? One with a good battery life etc?
I'd love to know what cordless telephone get's your seal of approval!
KInd regards,
Jada x
