For many years, my dad worked at a well known brewery in Reading, until it's closure some few months ago, my dad worked very hard, and had limited time to spend with his children and partner, let alone any other family. My dad was however fortunate to have perks of the job, discounted drinks, charity challenges including the Caledonian challenge and also three trips to Center Parcs!

Center Parcs was by far, one of my dad's most enjoyable UK family breaks, not because he won the first ever employee of the year award, and the year after that too, but because of the surroundings he was in. Not only did my dad and his partner of 20 years attend the awards ceremonies, and fortunately won the first two year's in a row, but he also had a enjoyable break away with his family, celebrating with activities he both loves and never participated in before.
As there was quite a few nominees for the award, we participated in challenges which was great fun, we done treasure trials and nature walks, participated in archery, went swimming and much more, we did not leave the site (Sherwood Forest) from the moment we arrived, until our departure. Once parked up after the journey to the site, we did not even have to drive our car anywhere, we hired bikes for the week and spent the whole time either walking or cycling around.

As my dad's six children grew older, and started being more independent with different age gaps, we sadly did not go back to Center Parcs as a family of eight, however, after missing the place so much and hearing of their new holiday village Woburn Forest, their fifth holiday village within the UK, we are more eager than ever to go again!

Every memory of our holidays at Center Parcs are fond, I remember eating dinner at one of the restaurants on site, and then heading off into a huge indoor play centre, I remember the entertainment, the scenery, the squirrel who visited our lodge every morning on one visit, and even his friends the birdies who popped down on the ground too.
I remember trying archery for the first time, and painting at my most relaxed, watching the smiles on my dad's face as we all put on our hiking boots and took many walks, the greenery, the wildlife, the nature trials, the food, the experience - everything!
If you're looking for that perfect and relaxing family break within the UK, Center Parcs is the holiday village to holiday at.
Until next time,
Jada x
