With the summer fast approaching more and more children’s films will be released onto dvd and blu ray and of course be showing the cinemas. Here are some of the top movies for children to watch out for. Will any top the success of last year’s top films such as Planes, Monsters University and of course, Frozen?
Rio 2
If your children have seen the original Rio or love Ice Age then the sequel, Rio 2 is a must watch. Since Rio, Blu and Jewel have had three kids and Rio 2 sees them leaving the city life and heading back to the Amazon where Blu comes head to head with his father-in-law.
Tinkerbell and The Pirate Fairy
One of the fans of Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, from Disney we have Tinkerbell and The Pirate Fairy, the sixth in the series of Tinkerbell films is due to be released onto blu ray and dvd on the 23rd June. The film focuses on the race to get the stolen pixie dust back from Zarina and the Skull Rock Pirates.
Postman Pat: The Movie
Postman Pat has been a children’s favourite for decades and now for the first time ever Postman Pat is hitting the big screen. The movie is Britain’s Got Talent meets Postman Pat as it follows Pat after being propelled into stardom upon entering a TV talent contest.
Planes 2: Fire and Rescue
August sees the return of Dusty and the gang in the sequel to the popular Planes Movie from Disney! Dusty’s career as a race plane encounters difficulties so he decides to join the Fire and Rescue team! The movie follows Dusty’s new adventure, will he become a hero?
The House of Magic
The House of Magic is the story of a stray cat (Thunder) who gets adopted by a magician who has an array of magical creatures Thunder must get along with. The story focuses on the troubles caused by the magician’s evil niece.
Mr Peabody and Sherman
This was a hit in the cinemas this spring and will be released on DVD over the summer. The film was full of great humor and the lovable Mr. Peabody for the younger children and the aspects of education through the historical aspects of the film will appeal to the older children and adults.
