Bedroom Makeover Thoughts For Fall

Yesterday was the first official day of Autumn here in the UK, otherwise known as falls to some. Autumn is the time when leaves fall from the tree's, when the slow cooker becomes a permanent piece on your kitchen worktop and when the heating starts getting used more and more!

Finding any excuse to have a makeover, and especially one in my bedroom, I've been contemplating about having a new look for a while. Now Autumn is here, one of my favourite seasons of the year, I figured that this would be the perfect excuse to give one of my favourite places in my home a little makeover!

As I mentioned above, leaves fall from the tree's, the heating goes on and out comes the slow cookers. The only thing I don't like about the Autumn is the coldness! I'm just getting over a chest infection as I type now, I'm on antibiotics which are thankfully working but along with my asthma is causes havoc!

However, when it is cold, you get to wear UGG boots, thick cosy cardigans and enjoy a hot home made stew for dinner. You get to cosy up on the sofa with extra thick socks on your feet and a throw to keep your body warm. The kettle is never turned off, as you make tea after tea, or in my case hot chocolate.

I work in my bedroom, I don't have a television in my bedroom which I love, and that's why I don't work anywhere else in the home because of the distractions in place. All I have in my bedroom is my wardrobe, my chest of draws, my dresser and my writing bureau. Then I have photo's; mainly of Spud and my nephews, covering the walls, sweet nothings and my accessories.

It's my most favourite place, and I do like to show it the love my having makeover's a few times a year! Not doing anything to it this year at all, apart from buying a new furniture set, I think it's time for that makeover!

Electric Fires:
I don't have a real fireplace as we live in a flat, but I love electric fires after falling in love with one my friend has, and she also lives in a flat! They really do set the scene and make a home look nice and cosy! This one is available to purchase from Dimplex.

Thick Duvet's and Bedding:
With the colder month's appearing, it's time to store the thin summer quilt away and bring out a thicker quilt. My Autumn/Winter quilt is a few years old now, I binned it whilst having my summer clear out and so I need a new one! The duvet pictured along with the beautiful duvet set is from Yorkshire Linen Harrogate.

Wall Feature:
If you've been in my home, you know how much I love a feature wall and a bit of sweet nothings wall art! To set the perfect scene, this giant whole wall sticker pictured would look wonderful in my bedroom found on Dali Decals.

Decoration:
When I first moved into my flat, I had a brown and cream themed room, after wanting to change my mind just a few months after decorating, I decided that I would paint my bedroom walls white - all four of them. Now I can change my theme whenever and however I like!

Do you have any ideas on how to make the perfect autumn bedroom? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Until next time,
Jada x
