Enough Really Is Enough!

If your a personal friend or family member, or even a blogger who's met me in person, I'm sure we're all agree on one thing here, I've put on weight and truly piled on them pounds, or in my case stones! I'm one of those people that eat when they're stressed, I'd love to be the opposite way round like most people I know, something stresses them out and they don't eat, loosing a few unwelcome pounds instead of adding them on to the already border line obese waistline!

If you're reading this post, and you've not met me, but seen photo's of me, you're most probably thinking what is she going on about, I've seen photo's of her and she looks fine. The real truth though is I am just good at making sure no one see's full body shot's of me, although if you knew me a few years ago, it's quite clear to see the newly but slowly approaching double chin making it's home on my face, and let's not forget the more plumper cheeks!

Me and my brother Jamie, I was in the first few years of my teenage years.

Looking back to 2010 (four years ago), that's when it all started really, it was the end of a serious relationship and for the first time ever, I was left heartbroken from a strangers love. It didn't matter if I was indoors or out, where ever I was, I would comfort eat and gulp down fizzy drinks. Come back four years and we're back in 2014, this current day in August and I'm 5 stone heavier then what I was four years ago.

I wouldn't go as far to say I've got a problem with food, because I know with will power I can stop and sort my weight and health style out. I'm not a big fan of cheating as I do love the attention and praises I get when I do something without help. I would never consider surgery as I can't afford the surgery and to be honest, why should my bigger than normal belly be reduced on the NHS because of my own eating habits?

After having my picture taken for a press release along with my brother and sister, I realised just how much weight I've put on, and how large I am looking. It was both upsetting and unpleasant to see, it wasn't nice at all and it was to say the least a huge reality check, and the usual slap in the face was more like a brutal punch to the face! According to an old article on The Telegraph website featuring the 5:2 diet, all diet's need to be researched before participating yourself!

One of the paragraphs from the article really captured my eye and gave me a look into the future I am about to embark on.

''Fauja is right to believe that controlled eating is the way to a longer and healthier life. Scientists have known since the Thirties that one of the best ways to extend life is to eat a nutritionally rich but calorie-restricted diet. Mice on such a diet live up to 40 per cent longer than normal mice.''

I've been doing my research over the last three days after unsuccessfully trying my own style of diets, I've looked into shake diets, calorie controlled diets, no meat diets, tablet diets and fasting diets. I need to loose more then a couple of stone and pounds, and I'm guessing the road ahead is going to be both bumpy and rocky, as well as being a road that seems like it's never going to end!

From L-R: Me, my dad, my big sister Paula (with glasses) and my big sister Chelsea, photo taken after we laid our Grandmother to rest May 2014.
I'm the first to admit I'm sort of like the jealous type, it upsets me that I can follow a diet so strictly and loose minimum weight, but someone else can do extremely better, who's not even religiously followed the diet as well as me. So I've got three new options and one of them is Biotrust IC-5!

After hearing mixed reviews about Biotrust IC-5 both online and on the internet, I thought I would ask you, my trusted readers if any of you have tried Biotrust IC-5 and what you thought about it? You can read the full Biotrust IC-5 review on healthycompare.com but I'd much rather have some personal insight into the diet before making that order!

For now, I've cut out all the junk, that's including the teaspoon of sugar I added to my morning cup of coffee, the biscuit I would eat around mid-day, the crisp, the sweet puddings, and the biggest drink favourite of mine - Dr Pepper. I'm researching the nearest gyms as I type, waiting for a few call back's from more experienced staff before I decide which gym to join.

I'm going to try and do it all alone without any help for as long as I can, but it's quite upsetting when you drastically change your lifestyle and eating habits only to loose around 7lb in 3-4 months. Any motivation would be appreciated, and I would love to keep a diary to maybe show you how it's all going!

We're currently on holiday at the moment, and not wanting to stress myself out, I'm enjoying the ice-creams, home made fudges, beautiful meals and the gallons of Dr Pepper before embarking on my new adventure as soon as I arrive back home!

Wish me luck!
xx
