When you’ve got kids, sometimes it can seem like you’re inside the same four walls, day in, day out. It can quite honestly DRIVE YOU INSANE! Okay, you probably get out from time to time – whether to walk them to school, drive to the shop or even to get to your job, if you’ve got one. But when it’s just you on your own, and you’re housebound for some reason, you should make the most of it!There are loads of different activities and projects that you could get involved in, and the best part is, plenty of them don’t even have to cost any money – in fact, you could even earn some! But we’ll get to that.

If you’re crafty or creative, it’s good news all round. Perhaps you’ve been on a family holiday with the kids and fancy somewhere other than Facebook/Pinterest to immortalise your pics? Why not make a scrapbook! There are tons of cool ideas out there, and you can pick up the stuff to make them really cheaply on EBay. You can use the internet for some really cool ideas, too.

How about blogging? This blog right here is testimony to how you can perfect your own little corner of the Internet. Whether you blog about the kids, activities, fashion, to make a little extra cash or just for pleasure, there’s a huge blogosphere out there , and you can even meet like-minded people, too! In sticking with the online theme, you could start vlogging via YouTube. These options can both bring in some pocket money, as would using your other skills (such as writing or design) to freelance, so don’t write them off just yet!
If you’re a little shy, or perhaps not creatively minded, why not consider getting involved with online gaming? Bingo Find is a pretty cool site to get you started, because you can find loads of sites where you can get cash prizes for your efforts. But there are plenty more out there if you don’t want to tempt fate with gambling – after all, there must be a reason why literally millions of people play Candy Crush, right? Why not see for yourself!

Of course, if all else fails, you can always do something nice and old fashioned. Whether you love curling up with a good book, learning some delicious new recipes or just sitting back in front of the TV or a movie, there’s so much to do that it doesn’t have to be boring. There are even exercise videos these days, which you can save some pennies with and and find online (such as this Jillian Michaels one). And remember, if all else fails, you could always do some housework. Or sleep. Sleeping is probably more fun..
Until next time,
Jada x
